:-) That, and because it's a symptom of my audiophilia nervosa. For me this is a fun part of the hobby, perhaps learned at an early age when I got used to staring at the turntable going round and the warm glow of the amp while listening to music. Also as @markm9999 mentions this is useful for debugging, plus I find it helpful when quickly setting up music and walking away to attend to guests. And so on.
