Astonishing ... I tried with the standard web UI (Firefox on Windows) and with the Material Skin plugin (Chrome on Android). No .pdf was listed. Only .jpg files were displayed via the "Local Artwork" menu.
Oh, PDFs are considered text files. There's another menu item for these. They're treated differently, as the server would resize images where needed. That's not possible with PDFs. Plus most PDFs are being used because they're booklets or reviews etc., not just one image.
