Perhaps you have a different directory structure from us, which in turn
makes the bug manifest itself in a sligthly different way.
But as @cpd73 showed in message '#2087'

it can be observed without bringing Material into it, LMS does seem to
give a broken response for these directories.
The default skin is a fundamentally different beast, likely accessing
the filesystem in ways Material skin can't, so it's not that hard to
believe there are will be some difference in behaviour.
