That's good - because it should be a simpler problem. Can you enable logging plugin.bbciplayer and plugin.bbciplayer.dash to INFO and then go from Radio/My Apps menu into BBCiPlayer menu then into a station (6Music will have the shortest list) and then try to play a program.
