Ha! I'd be delighted with a messed up terminal because it would mean that something is happening :) It makes no difference to remove the --pass-through parameter. mherger wrote: > AFAIK Spotify still doesn't use straight http requests to serve the > audio tracks. Well, I kind of assumed that as long as it's token-controlled there should not be a problem with allowing HTTP, but you could well be right and it might take me hours to dig in that much. I was starting to contemplate writing my own Go version of Spotty, since I know more Go than Rust, but this is a really heavyweight solution to this problem :( mherger wrote: > That's really, really odd. Would you have another machine to run the same tests (with > correct paths, of course)? Nope, I'm running on bare metal. And although there might be problems at the Spotify end, we can still play through a different client, like on an Android device, with no problems. Yes, I'd reached the same conclusion - try a new install on totally different hardware. I wonder if there's some kind of intermittent hardware failure on the either the network or sound stack in this machine. It would still be very odd because every other internet stream is working, but (shrug). Thanks for all your help on this. I wondered whether you had considered creating a debugging page somewhere? There seems to be a ton of content on the forums but it's not necessarily distilled and accessible in one place and I'm sure you must have ended up answering the same question more than once. I'd be happy to draft something with what I've found so far and maybe put it on a Wiki or similar?
