This is a Windows 10 issue. MAI works absolutely fine on *nix variants. The big problem for any third party software on Windows these days is that updates change very significant things that you dont get to hear about in advance. If you want to run Office on Win 10 then yep it will usually work but other stuff gets broken all the time. Dont talk to me about elevated privileges for example.
