UPnP and Cast protocol do not allow metadata to be sent during streaming. They are file-oriented protocols. With UPnP there is a workaround when the audio is mp3 or aac by using ICY/shoutcast protocol if supported by the player. But Chromecast devices devices do not support ICY. The only option would be to write another receiver, the application that runs inside the CC and receives data and, if possible, go to a low enough level to use ICY or write something totally different than plain HTTP to grab the audio to play.
