It seems like between switching to 160kbps and removing the group players plugin, things have gone back to normal. One small issue but I can live with it, is that the players synced with spotty playlist playing tend to drop for about 4-6 seconds every few songs, then start back up. The controller doesn't say "buffering" in that time so I don't know exactly what's happening. Not a huge problem but if you have any ideas I'm open to testing them.
