I was able to back up the folder by logging into my DS918+ via SSH and copying it to /tmp before uninstalling LMS. You can find help on enabling SSH by searching on 'ssh' from DSM Help when logged into the admin interface GUI. I'll also add my thanks to the folks on this forum for rescuing LMS for me. I updated nine packages this morning, including Perl, without thinking about the affect on LMS. Now I see that there is a note about Perl 5.28 breaking LMS in the 'Update' notice.
