"can it be implemented"? Pretty sure it can. But I can't. I'm way behind librespot development already, as I'm struggling to integrate my own changes. I'd actually want to get close to main line, rather than add more custom code. I believe it would be great if that topic got more traction and attracted some attention from the librespot devs. Could you post to that thread? Pointing at the fact that the Java version has done it already?
