I've just made that change in beta 0.0.14b
However, I think there is something else to this because that mechanism (whether it is right or wrong or inappropriate) is used in numerous places in this plugin (and my earlier ones) and does not cause general failures for MAC users. I think it must be the combination of the qr//i along with something else that is being used in my regex for Radio Swiss URLs - something that is a bit different about that regex compared to ones I use for other broadcasters. Anyway ... if this resolves it then the underlying issue goes to the backburner.
