I then have to stop the Spotify connect connection by telling my Spotify phone app to output to phone, then restart the next track and then tell Spotify phone app to output to Squeezebox.
I don't see anything obvious in your log file. Are you running the latest Spotty and helper? And there's not possibly anyone else using your Spotify account at the same time?
