That is fair. If you ever get the itch to cross compile (again assuming
dot net core/6/whatever ms is calling it today was used) then hit me up.
I would be willing to help test and even lend a hand coding. I have not
bothered to try with Wine yet but it may come to that. Sound in Linux is
still a bit of a mess so I did not really want to go down that path...

The volume modulating is a strange issue. I know that my pi are all
SUPER picky about audio cables (one has an external dac and it is fine).
I get static if i look at it incorrectly or rotate the plug. I have
cleaned it with contact cleaner and still the same issue, across all of
my pis... Maybe something like that is happening but probably not.

I only have the squeezelite-x app running in Windows and nothing else.
Truthfully I am not great at Windows (the device is company furnished)
so I would not know where to begin to try that out.
