Don't know about Sirius, but FLAC over an SSH tunnel through a DSL connection is more than likely to stutter. In my experience 44.1 KHz / 16bit FLACs need around 1000 - 1200 kbps sustained to stream reliably (and I would double those numbers to be certain).
