I'm not suggesting I'd do this - I don't know the first thing about creating a plugin - but am throwing this idea out there for anyone who'd like to give it a try...
I've been using digital equalization with my SB3, and one of the areas of great importance is making sure there is no clipping with the EQ in the loop. I was thinking a great utility would be something that can scan all the songs in one's library, and provide a breakdown of signal amplitude for each track. Maybe even a way to determine the amplitude by both peak and across a designated band. So that you could identify a track that has the highest amplitude, but maybe it does it at only one frequency, versus another that has the highest overall amplitude from 20Hz - 20KHz. Then it would be clear which tracks to use for testing with EQ in the loop to insure there's no clipping. Anyone else think this may be useful? -- tonyptony ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tonyptony's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42453 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
