I was thinking it would be nice to use an old laptop (it would fit nicely in my current setup) and have this app for a party. One danger we have here is in rebuilding the whole interface. But ;-):
It would be important to have the ability to queue songs rather than replace as already noted by dwilliams1. I too have the same problem, press 'play' when I meant 'add'. That said, then we also need the ability to clear the queue when someone selects sweet child o' mine when it is a miles davis night. Perhaps a queue screen where we can select an album/song and choose delete? I like the option of keys or mouse for scrolling around. some ability to switch between 'now playing' and 'select' so folks can see what is playing and then add. genre would be a nice option somehow, haven't thought that through. That almost gets to creating a playlist that people can play from. So, perhaps assigning/selecting a playlist that is where the selections come from?
