I did that little hello test I found in some post to check whether my fd/3 was active and the hello word appeared on my console. There's also some other one liner that supposedly tests it and throws 1 2 3 on the console
I thought I was OK So do I need to use the "mplayer-stdout" trick There is also a post somewherefrom a guy who claims he got round it be configuring a special pipe for the output.
