There is no change in the utility (i.e. the exe) - the only thing that has changed is the user interface to start.
Chgeck if you are using mp3 - if you are using mp3 then my guess is that you may be transcoding into mp3 and you had changed the quality setting in 6.5 from default which is quite poor to a better level.
