The replacement socketwrapper performs the additional step of killing orphan decoding processes when a track stops. It will not adversely affect any other transcoding which uses socketwrapper (e.g. alienbbc, aacplus). CDDA2WAV is not well behaved all the time and sometimes leaves an orphans process so socketwrapper does the extra tidy up.
Good to know CDplayer worked on a system with 3 drives.
