This make me think you installed the 2.01 for 7.0 ( http://www.x2systems.com/alienbbc/alienbbc-linux-v2.01b1_7.0.tar.gz ) and not 2.01 for 7.1 ( http://www.x2systems.com/alienbbc/alienbbc-linux-v2.01b1_7.1.tar.gz ) which has the FFWD code.
