I doubt Logitech has the bw for such an effort but perhaps the support for plugins needs to mirror the iTunes store model. It could be simplified to just make sure the plugins are not malicious and reasonably do what they are supposed to do versus the Nazi model Apple has today. Logitech should still support the existing model as anyone should be able to install anything they want on their own system, even if it breaks it big time.
