No, 7.2 wouldn't work on Snow Leopard and had to be replaced with 7.3.4 as documented in the SqueezeCenter forum. My initial post was therefore correct, that SS 3.9b1 wouldn't work on 7.2 under Snow L but incorrect since SC wasn't working either.
