Yes. That will be the case.
How many albums do you have?

One alternative could be (in iPeng) to use "Settings->iPeng
Settings->Keep Connection".
This is not absolutely reliable since after a while iPod touch shuts
off WiFi (I believe this is a bug, iPhone doesn't do that) but for 5min
or so you should be fine.
Please check whether that fixes your issue.

If you still see this and you even see it while you keep the device
active (you can do that by activating "Settings->iPeng Setting->Prevent
Standby") then  also check whether you are seeing the "virus scanner"
