I've tried 7.4.1, too - no difference. I just can't reproduce this. It always plays the full album when I tap the artwork.
The one thing that confuses me is that you say you have a "Play all" item on top, that should not be with your settings, it should be "play shuffled", "play all" should only show if you have "play single tracks" is enabled - not that this would make a difference when I try... In Napster, I have "Playback settings" on the top left of the screen (Napster's web UI), it's German only, so I can't tell you how it's told.
