I would appreciate as well to have icons with a circular sun :-). It looks like there is a bar at the top of the screen is not used. Could extending the icon image to this area help ? I feel this plugin is great and I personally don't need more "time" display. Obly improvement needed from my point of view would be the quality of icons which currently is behind current standards we are getting used to in most devices (such as mobiel phones... check the look of the weather applet of HTC HD2 device).
