I had the "underscore problem" but have now updated my server to 7.5.1.
But I still have problems with some pictures. It seems that dashes "-" in a file name prevents picture gallery from working with that file. Spaces in file names also seem to cause trouble for me. I've also noted that read permissions have to be set for everyone or else picture gallery can't render the photo (I run linux).
