In my case what made things work again was partly that Triode installed a new version of the plugin (1.0.5 I think) and then that I OKed the spotifyd.exe access questions from my firewall (Zonealarm), then turned off the firewall completely and restarted it again. Then by some magic things worked just fine and still does..
