A short status update on this: The BBCiPlayer plugin and BBC Radio applet are not able to play flash aac listen again streams at present. This is not something I can resolve from the plugin end as something has changed at the BBC end.
I have been in contact with the BBC and will let people know of progress on this when I have it. In the interim I suggest people select the "prefer wma" (plugin) or "wma" (applet) option. This will result in lower quality streams, but will mean both listen again and live will work.
