I'm starting to get frustrated here :( I switched to SSODS 4.9.1, the latest edition that still supports my Synology DS107+ I installed SBS 7.5.2. This all went flawless and runs so much smoother than the Synology package.
Then I installed the plugin. That worked and the helper app runs. BUT, again I get: [11-04-14 22:05:49.8830] Plugins::Spotify::Spotifyd::__ANON__ (76) unable to write log file: /opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Logs/spotifyd.log So I created (touch) it as admin user, as the slimserver.pl process also runs as admin. To no avail, the log file stays empty. I still get Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected [11-04-14 22:52:51.7709] Slim::Formats::XML::gotErrorViaHTTP (332) Error: getting http://192.168.1.13:9080/search.json?o=0&i=Rs&q=artist:torul But the helper app does keep running. I have opened up the firewall on my dsl modem/router, for the server/ports SBS uses. To no avail either, obviously, because it is an internal connection between both SBS and helper app on same server, so why would I need to configure external firewall. Weird stuff happening. - In spotifyd.conf I get this dir listed, but it doesn't exist on my system: cachedir: /opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Cache/spotifycache - There are multiple instances of slimserver.pl running, generates messages like this [11-04-14 23:06:22.5802] Slim::Web::HTTP::openport (204) Previously configured port 9000 was busy - we're now using port 9001 instead - CLI port issues???? (Tried with different port number, no change. [11-04-14 23:33:55.1986] Slim::Utils::PluginManager::load (330) Warning: Couldn't call Slim::Plugin::CLI::Plugin->initPlugin: Can't setup the listening port 9075: Address already in use at /volume1/SSODS4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/lib/Log/Log4perl/Logger.pm line 900 1814: [11-04-14 23:33:55.1872] Slim::Plugin::CLI::Plugin::cli_socket_open (166) Can't setup the listening port 9075: Address already in use - I don't know how to run spotifyd manually.
