I'm loving ipeng as player, in spite of occasional dropouts. Now I want to figure out accessing my music remotely. Over at http://penguinlovesmusic.de/twitter-discuss-it-all/ I found the following:

A much better solution than directly forwarding the ports is to use a VPN, typically through a system called IPSec and which is supported by iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Some routers support this out of the box, in other cases you need to set it up on your server. The setup is highly operating system dependent so I cant really give advice here but its definitely worth it." I'm on Fios, with Actiontec MI424-WR rev E router.
