At present there's no ability to star an album in either the official or 3rd party plugins. The spotify library star support adds/removes stars from a list of tracks. It would be possible to do this for all tracks in an ablum, but then I am not sure that by default the spotify library would sort the stared tracks by album or not.. Alternatively we could just create a local (to the plugin) library which you add albums and tracks too.
