I have had the same problems for the last few days. The streams sometimes work - sometimes not. However if you take the url of the live stream (say Radio 4 FM http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listenlive/r4_aaclca.pls?livetxt=pubsub.livetext.radio4 )& put into the web address in a browser it will also work when the iPlayer works on Squeezeserver & fail when the iPlayer does not work on the Squeezeserver. So I feel that sort of indictaes that the problem is at the BBC end.
