As said in the following post, you have a number of choices if you
don't think the plugins are worth similar amounts as one meal on your
favorite fast food restaurant:

1. Download, unzip and install an old no longer maintained nor
supported version manually, they are available on my homepage but not
through SBS Settings/Plugins tab
or
2. Use Squeezebox Server 7.3 or earlier if you don't use a Radio or
Touch
or
3. Modify the source code and remove the license checks

Most people probably value their time and think the lowest fee of
currently $5 per year is worth it, after all, it's probably about the
same amount as a meal on your favorite fast food restaurant and I
suspect you aren't spending this much time thinking if you should get a
burger or not.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this causes, but the alternative for me
would have been to completely drop support for all my plugins/applets
since I no longer could justify spending the amount of time I do to
maintain and support them for free, I thought a commercial approach was
a better alternative than this.
