By my recollection there is a reason why -"You must be a subscriber to use Pandora from this device."- is worded that way. The free (advt supported) Pandora service works on hardware SBs, but for software SBs you need a paid subscription.
And to answer cburbs Q on post #8, no you don't have to subscribe via the software player.
