It's become very plain to me that Linux could never replace Windows as a mainstream general purpose O/S. Too few people would have the time or energy, let alone detailed knowledge, to get it to do what you want. I'm sure once you get very familiar with it things become easier, but not so easy that most people would want to bother. I can, however, see it working very well in dedicated single-purpose systems, such as Vortexbox, that don't really to change at all once set up. Alternatively, embedding it underneath a more user-oriented system, such as android, could do the trick. -- PasTim Server on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 2 CPU, 2GHz, 4GB, FLAC files.
