Well its taking me long enough but finally got it working. I found the step by step instructions on sugarcube/spicefly site the most helpful.
Now I suppose I have to play with it a bit to really get into more "trouble" but so far so good. One thing as a tip I read in another post which seemed to work for me. Scanning my 8000 songs didn't take as long as many posts have led me to believe. I scanned them before installing the headless part and it was quite quick.
