On the installation, it did take me a bit to figure out that you have to do basic Smart Mix settings from the LMS Settings Plugins Page (the Settings link on the far right of the Smart Mix plugin line). For instance, if you want to have it mix on your library you have to tell it NOT to use online services. Otherwise it tries to make a Spotify mix and I don't even have Spotify installed.
That's a new one (to me). You say you don't have any Spotify plugin configured, yet SmartMix is using it? Do you have Triode's plugin installed (though not configured)? Did you ever use it?
