Recent versions of the plugin so not store the password itself, they set
it in libspotify when the password is added and apply clicked. This
means the location where libspotify stores its settings is where the
password is stored (in encrypted form). By doing this it is more secure
as it means the plugin doesn't need to store the password in plain text.
However it does mean it needs libspotify to be able to remember the
password - so it is lost if you reinstall the server or if you wipe the
location where libspotify stores its settings (which are in the cache).

Note - Please make sure you use the latest version as it includes a bug
fix to help setting of the password.
