If your server is a Mac and you use iTunes instead of LMS and the Apple remote instead of iPeng.... That's the workaround. Face it: AirPlay is a closed Apple system, there's no getting into it. There have been hacks like Airfoil but Apple all but pull edit he plug on them (because they used hacked encryption keys) and now they use their own server, too.
