OK, I looked into it.
As it stands, iPeng _does_ send the metadata and the server does get
it.
However, the server somehow seems to relate that data to the player's
buffer size and that seems to confuse it, probably due to iPeng's much
larger buffer size compared to the Squeezeboxes.
It helps for me to force iPeng to use the smaller buffer.
In iPeng's player setting, go to "Bitrate limiting" and there select
"use small playback buffer".

I can't. Logitech would have to do that.
iPeng doesn't talk to WiMP directly so whatever functionality
MySqueezebox.com doesn't provide can't be added by iPeng by itself.

It's in the server details in iPeng. Open the player/server list and
press the blue ">" next to the server name.
