Hi there, I'd like to stream the analog Output of my Yamaha Receiver to my SqueezeBoxes.
What I've read so far, this should be possible with Linux systems as discussed in this thread. My setup would be the following: I'd like to use the WaveInput on my 'ODROID Device' (http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G138745696275) with 'max2play image' (http://shop.max2play.com/en/image-max2play?___from_store=de) (based on Ubuntu). Now, my question is, what USB Sound Device should I choose. Has anyone here made experiences with an external USB device? There are a few I would consider: 'Creative Soundblaster E1, E2, Omni, X-Fi HD' (http://uk.creative.com/p/sound-blaster), 'Sweex' (http://www.sweex.com/nl/notebook-pc-accessoires/geluidskaarten/SC016/) or another one someone made good experiences with. Are there some performance considerations using the WaveInput on a Logitech Media Server?
