On the 4S there will be less advantage than on newer devices. The "big" UI changes have been on iPad and on iPhone 6. And, of course, if you also look for the iPad version you get that more or less for free since iPeng 8 is a universal App. On iPhone 4S you will get the dark/light color scheme and a configurable main menu. And the MultiPlayer control gut much more intuitive and easier to use which helps a lot with lots of players. And, of course, the iOS 7/8 look&feel. Two other details might be of importance for certain use cases: If you use LMS 7.9 with additional browse modes, the two artist lists and especially the custom library views you probably want iPeng 8, iPeng Classic doesn't really support that well. And if you use the iPhone as a dedicated player in a dock, iPeng 8 can now stay active forever, even if it's "power" state is set to off and the display is off (using "preserve connection") so that you can still remotely control it. For iPeng Classic that only worked for ten minutes. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 7, the Universal App for iOS 7* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
