@eek: Thanks but I did read Jim's latest reply and IMHO "we have a call booked with Logitech tomorrow morning" means next to nothing. Even if something is agreed, how long will it take for a solution to be developed, tested and made available? During which time we have limited if any service. Even then why should thousands of people have to spend countless hours finding, downloading and installing, breaking, re-installing etc. to get back to a user experience that the BBC could provide once more if they simply turned the AAC SHOUTcast streams back on now? HLS and HDS might be a good long-term approach (I do not know enough to comment), but I do know that such a siesmic change requires considerate management and a long and well publicised period of parallel running to enable listeners to switch over... Just as was done for digital TV. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ W92Neriah's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34111 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
