I am using the latest nightly 7.9 build on OS X , downloaded today, and test methodically with a test album/folder as the library.
The issue is the same with your server configuration "use two separate lists for artists and album artists". Are you sure you don't see the issue for FLAC compilation albums with the tag "Compilation" set to value 1? This is specifically where the problem arises. If there is no Compilation tag, or the value is set to 0, then the track artist is displayed correctly. The "Album Artist" tag is set the same for all files, and the "Artist" tag is set for each individual track.
