@palmerx: do you connect the Raspberry by LAN or by WiFi? It seems, that your device sometimes has no internetconnection on startup. This is the reason for the missing radio stations on the Squeezebox-Server and probably also the reason for the problems connecting and controling it with your iPhone-App. If you use a LAN-connection, then it might be your power-supply / router / Raspberry PI... difficult to say.
