I see now, yes I agree the white noise can be very painfull. I will think about how it can happen, but I'm bit dry as of now in the sense that I forward what I receive from LMS after having done a bit of endianness change or byte packing, but I'm only processing an amount of bytes that is a multiple of channels*bytes_per_sample. In case LMS stops sending bytes and if there is a 'wrong' number of remaining bytes in the buffer, they will not be processed until LMS feeds sq2u again or stops the whole process. At this point I cannot think of a case where things would go wrong and I could detect that automatically. That's the issue with pcm, these are just bytes, no checksum, nothing to assess if they are right or wrong - any other method to check validity would be prone to a lot of false alarm. I'll continue thinking about a potential defect case (apart from LMS sending random data) LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2.
