I (and others) have tried contacting Triode during the year and have got
no reply and I feel he has experienced a life changing event and so has
more pressing matters. That said, I have worked witrh Triode over the
years and I expect he'll understand why I decided to undertake
maintenance of the plugin. I think it's better for Triode that the
plugin is maintained rather than become a mess of install & patches from
disparate places. For a plugin to continue to be useful, it has to be
actively maintained.

Triode is still the author the BBCiPlayer plugin and I will not change
any of the notices at the start of the Triode authored files. I have
added files to support Dash and they will have appropriate notices
licensed in the same way. This is similar to when I had created some
"Addons" in an earlier version of Triode's AlienBBC. I will add a list
of contributors in Settings so it is easily seen. I have no interest
nor need for any commercial gain arising from supporting BBCiPlayer
plugin. Becoming maintainer is a double edged sword besides taking
control it also means taking responsibility which can mainfest in
unwanted forms so it is not a task I take on lightly - it is much easier
to write code and just keep it for my own use.
