Which QNAP model? It may not be powerful enough to do the necessary transcoding. Neither of mine are. I have all my local FLACS on a QNAP but LMS is on a different machine that reads the QNAP. The extra power of the LMS server makes scanning and transcoding no issue whatsoever. You can do this these days with a Rasp Pi and a QNAP as a storage medium. Don't assume that Phillipe's plugin is the issue it could well be your QNAP. Don't get me wrong they are the best NAS you can buy IMHO,
