A quick review of Page 1 instructions. I found no problem with the instruction - I did a complete clear and install but I didn't read through the text each step as I was just testing the fundamentals. Some comments regarding uninstall and then install. 1. If all BBCiPlayer and BBCiPlayerExtra plugins are disabled - they will not be uninstalled until after a restart so any associated repository URLS must be deleted at the same time and then LMS restarted for plugins to be removed. Whenever a plugin is disabled or a repository URL change LMS must be restarted. 2. After each restart of LMS when adding respositories and enabling/disabling plugins - the Settings/Plugin tab must be reloaded - if user keeps Plugin tab open between LMS restarts, changes to Plugin tab will not be shown and if apply clicked - strange results may happen. 3. With no repositories are defined - Logitech have repositories for old versions of the BBCiPlayer (1.2.14) and BBCiPlayer Extra (v1.07) show up in the plugin list. Michael needs to be told to remove these as they are useless and confusing. 4. The googlecode Repository URLs for Triode's BBCiPlayer 1.3.1alpha3 and BBCiPlayerExtra 1.8 are still valid - it seems Google have reversed some of their googlecode changes made in mid Jan. However when googlecode is shutdown BOTH urls will die. 5. Once the BBCXML.pm file of BBCiPlayer is replaced - I found no problem with BBCiPlayer 1.3.1alpha3 and it worked OK with BBCiPlayerExtra 1.8. 6. The instructions should tell users to halt LMS before replacing BBCXML.pm file. 7. The BBCiPlayerExtra V1.8 may die shortly when BBC removes the FlashAAC (aka RTMP) support. 8. Is the Windows faad.zip update not part of LMS 7.9 or has Michael not been told about this faad problem ? 9. The "Show Live Text" should be disabled as RadioVis has been stopped and when enabled seems to prevent some LIve (non-uk) streams from playing with a coding error logged. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103435 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
