Sorry Michael, I'm conscious that there's a few people here asking for help, and you are being very geenrous with your time. For me, the Spotify app appears in my Slim browser Apps list, and I can browser albums and tracks within the same app. I have enabled the new protocol hander plug (1.0.1). As soon as I try to play a track I get "connecting..." then silence.
All my players and server are in 192.168.1.x and i have no firewall on the Ubuntu box where the latest nightly 7.9 LMS is running. The error: [16-02-17 12:47:48.4934] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (131) Error: Select task failed calling Slim::Networking::Async::HTTP::_http_read_body: illegal file descriptor or filehandle (either no attached file descriptor or illegal value): at /usr/share/perl5/Slim/Networking/IO/Select.pm line 134. ; fh=Slim::Networking::Async::Socket::HTTP=GLOB(0x874afa8) shows in server.log whenever I click a track or a folder in the Spotify listing within the LMS app, so it may be unrelated to any "not playing any music" problem.
